Birds, money + more analogue.
I didn’t set out with an intended through-line for this edition, but as I thought about what’s inspired me lately that I want to share with you, I saw three distinct themes which I’ve presented here for your entertainment and organizational enjoyment.
~ BIRDS ~
🦆 [app] Merlin Bird IDIf you don’t have the Merlin Bird ID app yet... get into it. Go discover your inner birder.
🐦 [film] Listers - a glimpse into extreme birdwatchingFree on YouTube. Hilarious. A bit crass. Heart-warming. Exposing and surprising. An exquisite mullet. And many of feathered friends! 120 minutes of superb entertainment.
~MONEY~
💰 [audio] Expand Money - a 5-day series with The Spiritual Investor
I’ve listened to Elizabeth Ralph’s podcast before, and it didn’t grab me. For whatever reason, I binged a ton of her content last week and felt nourished and uplifted by all of it. I found this 5-day series insightful and impactful. I also enjoyed this + this pod episode.
🍲 [article/pod] Making a money bowl with Sam GarciaI saw this article a while ago and it’s been on my clipboard ever since. In a glorious fit of spring cleaning and altar resetting (see below), I finally made my money bowl. It’s now sitting beside me as I write this museletter. I’d love to know if you make one! Let’s compare notes…
~ANALOGUE~
🌹[fun quick craft] Rose, Thorn & Bud - my new zine!Have you ever made a zine??? I hadn't, and now I am obsessed. I cannot tell you how much joy it brought me every step of the way. I’ll preserve words here and say simply, go download it today! It will take you less than 10 minutes to print it out, construct it, read it and try out the practice inside.
🏡 Spring-clean your altar(s)Spring cleaning is a beautiful energy to direct at your altar. I have several in my home—a central alcove in our living room, a low table in our office/music + practice space, and a corner of my desk. This month I completely cleaned and revamped all three altars. I also took the opportunity to clean and rearrange my desk, and removed 4 bags of clothes from my closet to donate or sell. Spring can feel frenetic and crazed, but that's sort of perfect for tidying up. Right?
