All that glitters... ✨ (new years day email)

Welcome to January and 2023, my love. "Dramatic December" has drawn to a close— and 2022 along with it!

Throughout 2022, I sent you an 'attunement' on the 1st of each month. As we step into a new year, I feel called to offer a new series of alchemical attunements.

An alchemical attunement is the process of...

Using our own wisdom and evolution as a tuning fork, bringing us into vibration with our highest Self.

Bridging of the mystical and the mundane, the spiritual and the practical, the spirit and the soul, joy and grief.

Transmuting our "base materials" into gold... turning pain into power, wounds into wisdom, and grief into grace.

Grab a journal, Kate.

Light a candle and prepare a cup of tea, coffee, cacao or your libation of choice.

Today is a day to ritualize!

Let's acknowledge the GOLD you unearthed in 2022, so you can navigate 2023 with courage, wisdom and curiosity— like the alchemist you are!

6 Alchemical Attunement Inquiries ✨

1. What are 5 victories I choose to celebrate from 2022?
(these can feel small or large. No victory is too small to celebrate and acknowledge!)

2. What are the 5 greatest challenges I faced in 2022?
(this might feel empowering or deflating to revisit. No challenge is too small to acknowledge.)

3. What invaluable lessons or learnings did I gather in 2022?
(these might still be in progress. Be gentle with yourself.)

4. How would I integrate + apply these lessons in 2023 if I could set all fear aside?
(let yourself be bold. Let your imagination run free, let your wisest Self speak.)

5. If 2022 was a chapter in the book of my lifetime, what would it be called?
(give it a name. This is not a metaphor— you are a hero(ine) of your own story.)

6. If you could name the title of the next chapter for 2023, what would it be called?
(true, we have no clue what 2023 will bring. And, intention is powerful.)

What strikes you as you answer these questions?

What feels potent, profound and meaningful?

Hit reply and share whatever you feel moved to share. I'd love to hear from you, Kate.

You probably know that transparency and courage are two of my core values. I believe that in order to be a virtuous leader, we have to be willing to lead from the mystery and share our own stories of transmutation.

Here's 4 of my greatest learnings from 2022...

PASSION WITHOUT FEAR was my theme for 2022. I vowed to lean in and not allow my fear (which is always present) stop me from creating. I wanted to abandon launching my mastermind multiple times because I was afraid no one would sign up. I overloaded my schedule and then was terrified to cancel anything for fear of not being true to my word and commitments. There are many more examples of fear showing up and breathing its hot, pungent breath right in my face. AND, I kept leaning into my theme and my vow. I'm proud of what I created this year, all because I didn't allow my fear to be the one making decisions.

BECOMING AN ALCHEMIST was not a theme I saw coming, but it came for me anyway! When the student is ready, the teacher appears. This year, the teacher was the Alchemist Archetype. It came knocking and was not subtle. I took this brand archetype quiz online and The Alchemist was in my top 3. My friend Clark gifted me this book literally days after I had been online researching "best alchemy books for beginners." I even taught a 3-day workshop series called Alchemical Leadership that was sooooo much fun, and marked the first time I fully gave myself permission to teach a purely mystical (though deeply practical) concept. All of this coincided with a yearlong study of the Tarot deck, which is full of alchemical symbology. And, for the cherry on top, Kim Krans of The Wild Unknown released her 4th + final card deck called "Alchemy." When synchronicity is this loud, you gotta listen!

DIVISION + DUALITY run deep. I know in the core of my being that my essence is infinite, timeless, deathless and non-dual. And yet, duality strikes again! In The Gene Keys, a modern transmission based on the ancient wisdom of I-Ching, the 7th Gene Key + hexagram speaks to the shadow of division. With work and contemplation, this shadow becomes the gift of Guidance, and the illuminated gift of Virtue. This particular hexagram is all about leadership, and while I've been chewing on its teachings for many years now, I finally recognized in myself some deep roots of division. They show up in how divided I feel between my various passions, between my work as a mentor and a minister, between my longing to do it all and my desire to simplify. Oof. I still don't have answers on the next step or how to resolve this feeling of division, but I can report that the pure clarity of seeing how it shows up for me already feels like a balm. One of the mottos that has emerged from my work in the past decade is "First, you must acknowledge. Only then can you evolve." This still feels true, and soothes the impatient part of me that wants to understand and transmute this shadow now!

TIME IS MY ALLY. And yours too. Try it. Time is my ally. Doesn't that feel better than demonizing Time as your ultimate nemesis? Last year, I got passionate about simplicity, light-heartedness, and essentialism. I made a conscious choice to begin the lifelong journey of dismantling ambition in myself and my Work. Where I've landed is that every time I complain about time and make it my enemy, I disempower myself and unconsciously choose illusion over truth. The TRUTH: Time is my ally. Time is precious. Every tender moment I've ever experienced is because I've been gifted the profound privilege of TIME as a HUMAN BEING! Join me. Choose to make time your ally. It's way more fun over here. Thanks for your presence and precious energy today, love. I know your attention is limited. I'm honored you'd spend some of your precious time with me.

May you be a lighthouse for your mission, passion and purpose in 2023!

I'm here, just a message away Kate. I always love to hear from you, and I hope to commune with you this year.

Onwards and upwards,

Britta
