The Goods: November edition šŸ

It’s time again for another edition of The Goods, where I share with you a collection of resources that make my life more pleasurable, playful, peaceful and powerful. These are from my heart to yours, so take what resonates and leave what doesn’t.

This week many of us celebrate Thanksgiving in the USA, so this edition is inspired by themes of gratitude and reciprocity… because though I love a holiday that has NO capitalism attached to it and is centered around feasting together, the story I was fed about thanksgiving in elementary school is a racket and leaves out a big fat helping of truth.

Both/and, my friend.
Both/and.

Let’s do this.

[Practice, 15 min] A spell for your day: morning ritual šŸŒ…

Here’s a recipe for a morning ritual that is freaking guaranteed to encode your day with gratitude and light up all the right neural networks to get you started on an uplifting note. Goddess knows we need it in today’s world.

🌟Step 1: Tune in / basic theta meditation

Sit quietly and imagine tapping roots into the center of mother earth and drinking that nourishment. See each of your chakras get opened + activated. Tap your crown into the highest essence of god way up in the ethers. Ask for clarity. Ask for an open heart. Ask for trust. Ask for peace and productivity. Ask to remember yourself as loved, loveable and love itself.

Note: I did a simple recording of this inspired by my dear friend Alexis, and I’m happy to send it to you so you can follow along until you know it well enough to guide yourself. Hit reply and ā€œsend me the meditation!ā€ and it shall be so!

🌟Step 2: Bless it up

Sit or stand and outloud, offer blessings to anything and everything you’re grateful for. Say it like you mean it. Ex: bless this body, bless these hands, bless every dollar that flows in and out of my bank accounts, bless my family, bless my clients, etc etc)

🌟Step 3: Name 3 things that will make today a win for you?

Like, specific things. Vague intent yields vague results.

🌟Step 4: Affirm:

- I welcome something miraculous and extraordinary to happen today!

- I'm available to be guided by Spirit to wherever I’m needed most.

That’s it! From start to finish, you can do this entire practice in anywhere from 5-15 minutes. Thanks to my sisters Katerina + Alexis for inspiring some of these steps and juicing up my mornings! I can report it works.

[Podcast, 30 min] Relax your jaw: episode #39 of The Sage & The Song šŸŽ™ļø

You might have tuned into a post from me lately where I’ve shared that I’m on a mission to repattern the tension I used to hold in my jaw (see that unconscious suggestion baked into my language there?). This episode of the podcast lays out the 3 practices I’m doing multiple times a day to change my brain, my body and my life. Because when we can relax our face, we can relax everything else, and do our best work in peace.

[Playlist] Autumn Release šŸ§²

Last year I started making playlists for each season. I love having a go-to set of songs that express the essence and archetypal energy of the current season. This one completes my set of four! And, a disclaimer that I’ll continue to add and edit these, because of course I refine and evolve constantly ;) Give it a listen, I recommend using shuffle.

[Reciprocity Recommendation] 8th Generation: Support Native artists šŸ§µMy husband and I used to buy from Pendleton, because we both love the native designs of their legendary blankets. But at some point, I become suspicious that Pendleton doesn’t actually benefit Native Americans at all, but simply uses and capitalizes on their designs to make a profit that mostly benefits white folks descended from colonizers. Then, we found an amazing company based in Seattle called 8th Generation and we are SO happy to support them instead. All their beautiful goods— apparel, housewares, jewelry, etc— are native designed and native made, with all proceeds going back to the artists and the company which itself is owned and run by native folks. If you’re looking for a gift this holiday season, I totally recommend checking them out and supporting native artists!

[Healing and beyond] TBM Manifestation Challenge šŸ’Ž

You’ve probably heard me sing the praises of To Be Magnetic by now. If not, and even if so, I’ll continue to because their framework truly works. What’s even more astonishing than the availability to actually manifest your dream life is the profound healing that has come with their process. When I explain the work to people, what I actually say is that the healing is the real manifestation, and all the other stuff that actualizes is just the icing on top. They’re currently running their annual EOY Manifestation Challenge, where you can follow along in a 6-week process with thousands of other folks to experience the blueprint and go into the new year aligned, expanded and taking action to unblock old stories, wounding and narratives holding you back. This shit is magic. Highly recommend.

Alright beloved, wishing you a week of peace, prosperity and deep connection with the land and your loved ones.

May we remember the exquisite gift of this land we live on, and humble ourselves to the reality of how we came to be here…

In gratitude,

Britta
