Is time your ally, or enemy?

Years ago, I read "The Big Leap" by Gay Hendricks. Of all the massive gems in this legendary book, the chapter on time is a doozy.

Hendricks talks about "time complaints" in a way that made me confront the fact that most of us walk around in constant state of victimization.

How do you know if you're playing the role of victim to the villain of time?

  • You commonly use the phrase "Sorry, I don't have time" in response to invitations and opportunities (even in your most important relationships).

  • The thought there's not enough hours in the day is pervasive in your reality.

  • You fret about aging.

  • Stress, anxiety and worry are familiar companions.

  • You feel defeated by your unrealistically long to-do list.

  • You feel defeated by "Inbox Zero."

  • The sense of trying to keep up (with tech, your kids, AI, your garden, your finances, life) is stifling.

These are just a few ways I've identified my own victim mentality with time.

But time is not a villain in a dark trench coat hiding around the corner, plotting your demise!

The fact is we choose our relationship with Time—and we can choose allyship.

Join me next Wednesday, July 1st for a freshly rebooted rendition of a tried and true class that will invite you into a totally new relationship with Time (and therefore life!).
