We all know the importance of deep sleep.
Most of us know how to regulate and relieve stress with our breath.
But how many of us are able to actually relax as we go about our day?
Even while…
driving in traffic?
having a hard conversation with the kids or spouse?
strength training at the Y?
typing on the laptop?
reading about the latest assassination attempt?
playing guitar?
paying taxes?
My ability to relax throughout my day—even as I effort, exert, navigate and labor—is shaping my quality of life.
I’m not talking about relaxing while I’m in bed, or taking a vacation in order to relax.
I’m talking about embracing the art of relaxation as a lifestyle that I apprentice with every moment of every day, no matter what.
