What’s your superpower?
Welcome to your Wednesday Love Note, where I offer tips + inspo to help you cultivate and protect your peace, both personally and professionally—even with a busy-ass schedule.
First, here’s what's happening in the BGV ecosystem this week:
I’ve got a new course sprouting up! I’m elated to share more in the coming weeks… but for now, I’ll say that it’s all about PEACE OF MIND. If you sometimes (often) feel like you’re juggling 17 balls in the air, running on a mental treadmill, struggle with anxiety or overwhelm amidst a super full schedule, or your brain feels like a generally unfriendly place these days…. this course is made for you.
I’ll offer a pre-sale mid-February with two super valuable—and super helpful—bonuses.
Stay tuned!
Now, onwards 🕊️
Greetings Audriana,
“If you could have any superpower, what would it be?”
In the past, I’ve never really been able to think of an honest answer to this classic question… except maybe flying superman-style, because I have enjoyed a few choice lucid dreams where I was able to take to the skies.
But recently, a specific scene from a Marvel movie popped into my head, and I thought, Yes! That would totally be my superpower!
The scene is from Dr. Strange, when “the ancient one” pushes a whining, arrogant Dr. Strange out of his astral body, sending him careening through the time-space multiverse before yanking him back again.
[Of course my superpower would be modeled by Tilda Swinton.]
As I reflected on this superhuman feat, I realized, Huh, I guess I sort of do that already, albeit with less drama.
Which, I’ve decided, is the point of this exercise.
What if the superpower we secretly covet actually points directly to our zone of genius?
The zone of genius is a topic I teach and think about regularly, and what I’ve noticed is that when folks first start to contemplate their own Z.O.G, it’s quite elusive. They aren’t really sure what their genius might be, only that they desperately want to figure it out.
There are some great ways to do that, including asking a bunch of people who know you well, and doing a fuck-ton of journaling.
But here’s a new method! Let’s try it together.
⚡️If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
⚡️Once you’ve identified it, assess how you already do that in everyday personal + professional life.
I have a strong hunch that if you look closely, with enough imagination and curiosity, you’ll find that you already wield that power in some shape or form right now.
Maybe the dream isn’t to receive a superpower, but to hone it.
In your corner,
Ps. Sometimes, I actually do feel like “the ancient one” in my sessions with clients. I’ve got some pretty freaky, magical tools to bend your brain, vanquish old beliefs, dispel fear and anxiety, and coax you into tiny pockets of safety and self-realization, one breath at a time.
In fact, my friend Anahita said this after a single session with me last year:
“As a healer and therapist myself, I have had my share of subconscious healing sessions, but nothing has ever tapped so deep so fast and with such direct access to a root contraction as my “Coaching The Unconscious Mind” session with Britta! She masterfully guided me to the depths, holding a safe and lighthearted container to navigate the deep and dark corners of the unconscious mind. Many healers can open up a wound, but it takes mastery to actually heal and seal—that, she delivers beyond comprehension. A “Coaching The Unconscious Mind” session with Britta might just change your life forever and that is not an over exaggeration. So thankful! WOW!
If you’ve been thinking about asking for some help lately and you dig my work, trust your gut and book a free discovery call. Let’s talk. I promise not to shove you into the multiverse (too hard), and I guarantee your safe and integrated return!
