This episode of the Fair Folk podcast by Danica Boyce is actually a year old, but still holds all the relevance it did. These monthly almanac episodes go in depth into folk and pagan traditions surrounding the month of October, mostly from northern Europe. There are so many gems in this episode, shining light on the meaning behind many of our current-day traditions like All Hallows Eve, Samhain, carving pumpkins, eating sweets, making offerings to the dead, and beyond. I highly recommend giving it a listen so you're in the know heading into October
